Hi, I’m allison brewton.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a former Marine who served in Afghanistan. After returning, I faced further tragic events, leading me to choose not to re-enlist. Adjusting to civilian life was challenging, but seeking help from a mental health provider changed my life. With support from providers and family, I found relief and discovered my calling in mental health. For nearly a decade, I focused on helping others, particularly in underserved communities in Montana for almost 5 years. Now, I am a licensed counselor in Montana and Texas, specializing in trauma-informed care for Veterans, First Responders, and trauma survivors. My clinical expertise, combined with personal experience, guides many toward healing and hope.

My Approach

As a trauma informed counselor, my top priority is creating a safe space that you feel comfortable in. Building a therapeutic relationship is built on trust and taking a person-centered approach, meaning we’ll take things at your pace. While my counseling services may be completely through telehealth, this won’t limit the healing that we will be able to do together.  As your counselor, I will guide you on your journey of healing through support, taking you from darkness to light.

Feel free to reach out with any questions you might have.  I know the thought of starting counseling for the first time, or starting again with someone new can be daunting.  I would love to help put you at ease with this process.

A free 15 minute phone consultation is available to see if we’d be a good client / counselor match. Contact me through the link above.
